Breezy Tunic
A flattering, flared tunic, edged with a simple lace pattern, repeated in the relaxed cowl neckline.
A great layering piece.
Techniques: knitting in the round, picking up stitches, increasing, decreasing, straight seaming, simple lace.
Included in the pattern are photos, a complete list of abbreviations, a stitch glossary and schematic.
Skill level: Intermediate.
Yarn
The yarn used is a DK weight yarn, knit at a looser gauge.
Approximate yards/meters needed: 675/617, 705/645, 805/736, 875/800, 980/896, 1100/1006, 1225/1120, 1375/1257
Pattern notes: Knit from the bottom up, this tunic is knit in two pieces, seamed for extra stability. The lace neck edge is knit by picking up stitches and knitting in the round. The armholes are finished by picking up stitches, knitting one round and then binding off.
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows = 4in/10cm in stockinette stitch with US 8/5mm needles
The gauge recommended on the label is 22 sts=4in/10cm
