“Breezeblocks” is a song by one of my favourite bands, Alt-J. I was listening to it when I was working on the sample for this pattern, and suddenly it just clicked!
The flowy, airy texture of the shawl; the way little squares are created by the stitch pattern.. It felt really appropriate to name this design Breezeblocks.

The shawl is really enjoyable to wear and combines well with many different outfits. Wear it to work over a blouse, or have it draped loosely around your shoulders and combine it with a dress for a fancy occasion. It can even be wrapped as a triangular shawl, which makes it much more casual.

When buying this pattern you will also receive the winter version of this shawl called “Freezeblocks”

Gauge is not listed since it’s quite hard to list gauge for this stitch pattern. If your yarn is fingering weight or light fingering weight, it will work perfectly. As for which crochet hook to use, you can determine this by working up a swatch of only Double Trebles (US). Recommended hook size is 3mm (D/3 US). If it works up too loosely, go down a size. If it looks too bunched up, go up a hook size.
