Braewick Top
“This Tabard-style garment has a loose fit, and open sides fastened with buttons,” says Mary Henderson. “The shoulders slope slightly to give a neat fit. I achieved this by knitting the body in a tube (with steeks either side) with a V neck (another steek), and then divided at the shoulders with garter stitch rows for the short-row shaping. For knitters wanting to advance their steeking skills, this would be a good project as the steeks are long yet straightforward. I have given full instructions for crochet finishing, although the J&S yarn is ‘sticky’ enough to forgo this method.”
