Boxing Day Mittens
Using two colors of Berroco Peruvia, these mittens feature a slipped stitch pattern that I modified. It is a stitch pattern that is easily memorized and with the aran weight yarn you will be able to work these up very quickly to keep someone’s hands warm.
Finished Measurements:
Circumference (unstretched): 7.5 (8.5) inches. Length: 10.5 (11.5) inches.
Materials:
MC 1 skein Berroco Peruvia (174yd/100g) in #7189 DelMar or approximately 110 (130) yards of aran weight yarn
CC 1 skein Berroco Peruvia (174yd/100g) in #7100 Blanco or approximately 50 (70) yards of aran weight yarn
1 set US #9/5.5 mm double-point needles
stitch marker, tapestry needle
errata
If you downloaded the free pattern between 12/26/14-12/31/14, please note the following 2 errors:
- it should say begin K1 P1 ribbing not corrugated K1 P1 ribbing
- left mitten thumb hole stitches directions should, say us ing contrasting scrap yarn, knit 7 stitches. Transfer the 7 stitches back to the left needle and knit them again with the MC.
