Box of Color Square
Blanket squares are one of my favorite things to crochet. Quick, beautiful, and the possibilities are endless! The Box of Color Square is a 12 inch blanket square that was inspired by a classic solid granny square with a bit of a twist. Every other round incorporates back post double crochets along the sides instead of regular double crochet stitches, giving it a fun, textured appearance…almost like it was sewn together! The other fantastic thing about making squares is the ability to play around with color. For the square above, I used a bright mix of pinks, blue, and purples for a playful look, but decided to play around with a wintry jewel tone combination too…check out the video for the second color scheme!
