Worked in a bulky weight yarn, matching the listed gauges is particularly important in order to end up with a sweater size that matches the listed finished measurements. Any differences in stitch and/or round gauge will dramatically affect the measurements of the chest/sleeve circumferences and yoke depth, respectively. Take time to ensure that you have the correct gauge and make necessary adjustments if gauge cannot be achieved. The pattern’s yoke section includes two fit checks to allow for customization if one’s round gauge differs from that of the pattern. Worked to desired length, both the body below the yoke and the sleeves may easily be lengthened or shortened. Note that any adjustments in length and/or variations in gauge will affect total yardage required.

Construction
This sweater is worked in one piece from the top down with a circular yoke construction.
Optional short rows are used to raise the back yoke of the sweater for a better fitting neckline. Sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and worked down to the cuffs and hem.
