Bottle-neck
About the design…
BOTTLE-neck is worked from top to bottom. First you make a canal for the ribbon, and then continue in rib-pattern until the neck has the desired length. The 2 shoulders are knitted back and forth, and in this you pick up stitches for front and back. The front and back are knitted back and forth in rib pattern and shaped with short rows for a good fit.
Finally, edge all the way around with an I-cord, and knit a long ribbon which is pulled through the canal at the top of the cowl.
