Botanical Vines is a sock design inspired by the serenity of a lush garden. Large, stylized leaves—evoking the graphic foliage of the monstera—unfold in a jacquard pattern on Autorayante™ self-striping yarn in delicate shades of dusty pink and soft green. A poetic and contemporary design, perfect for adding a colorful, botanical touch to your knitting.

YARN

Biscotte Yarns - BIS-SOCK 85% merino, 15% nylon, 400 m per 100g 50g of Autorayante™ yarn in Botanique color (A) and 100g of semi-solid in Backsplash color (B)

NEEDLES AND ACCESSORIES

• Circular or double-pointed needles of 2.25 mm (or the size needed to achieve the gauge) and 2.75 mm needles (or 0.50 mm larger than the size needed to achieve the gauge)
• 1 tapestry needle

SIZE

One-size-fits-all for adults (adjustable foot length).

GAUGE

32 stitches = 10 cm worked in the round in stockinette stitch on 2.25 mm needles

Notes: This pattern can be knitted using a set of 5 double-pointed needles (DpNs) or circular needles. For double-pointed needles, divide half the stitches between needles 1 and 2 and the other half between needles 3 and 4.

Since the pattern involves several consecutive stitches in the same color and requires carrying the contrasting yarn behind the work, I designed it using the Ladderback Jacquard technique. A photo and video tutorial are provided in the pattern.
