BOSQUE MEDITERRANEO includes video tutorials that make sure you do not stop at any time in your knitting.

It is specially designed to be the official pattern for Barcelona Knits 2025. Many thanks to the organisers for allowing me to be part of this very special occasion.

Size: One size, It has a triangular asimetric shape with final measurements: 202 x 154 x 121cm

Yarn: 3 skeins of fingering weight (380m/100g) in 2 colours, 1 skein of one colour and 2 of another colour, which contrast nicely.

The sample shown used 3 skeins of LALANALÚ Nadir (100% Spanish merino wool made sustainably, 380m/100g), one in the colour light green and two in dark green.

These amounts are approximate. The total amount of yarn
used will also depend on the type of yarn, your gauge, or
any modifications you may make to the item.

Needles: 4mm circular needles with a cable of 80 cm, or size needed to get gauge.

Gauge: In garter stitch (knit all rows)

22 stitches x 22 rows gives 10 x 10 cm before blocking.
20 stitches x 18 rows gives 10 x 10 cm after blocking.

It is a good idea to note down the measurements of your swatch
before and after blocking to allow you to estimate the final
measurements.

When you make your gauge swatch it is very IMPORTANT that
you block it and check that the colours you are working with
don’t bleed or transfer.

Other materiales:

• Two stitch markers to mark the centre of the piece and various
others, if needed, to mark the lace repeats to make them easier to follow. (optional)
• Various locking stitch markers to help count the rows (optional)
• Blocking tools: mats, t-pins, cables, etc.
• Tape measure, tapestry needles, and scissors.

Construction notes:

BOSQUE MEDITERRÁNEO is a shawl with three clearly
differentiated sections with an arrowhead silhouette and
structural change.

In the first and second sections we shape the shawl by
increasing and decreasing at the beginning and end of each
row and working a double decrease on every right side row.
In Section 3, we do the same, but we create an asymmetrical
shape by increasing at only one edge and decreasing at the
other.

In this way we manage to give that perfect visual interest
to choose5-And finally the neckline and sleeves are finished in 1x1 rib.

Talla: Única. Tiene una forma triangular asimétrica con medidas finales 202 x 154 x 121cm

Hilado: 3 madejas grosor fingering (380m=100g) de 2 colores, 1 de un color y 2 del otro color, que contrasten bien bonito.

En el modelo de la fotografía hemos usado 3 madejas de LALANALÚ Nadir (100% lana merina española hecha de manera sostenible, 380m = 100g), una en color pistacho (verde claro) y dos en musgo (verde oscuro).

Estas cantidades son aproximadas. El metraje total de hilo empleado va a depender también del tipo de hilado, tensión o de las modificaciones que hagamos a la prenda.

Agujas: Circulares de 4mm con cable de 80 cm, ó grosor adecuado para obtener la tensión de la muestra.

Tensión: A punto bobo (todas las pasadas del derecho)
22 puntos y 22 pasadas son 10 por 10 cm antes del bloqueo.
20 puntos y 18 pasadas son 10 por 10 cm después del
bloqueo.

Es aconsejable anotar las medidas de la muestra antes y
después del bloqueo, de esa forma podremos estimar las
medidas finales de la prenda.

Cuando hagas la muestra de tensión es muy IMPORTANTE
bloquearla y comprobar que no se mezclan los colores de los
hilados que estés usando.

Otros materiales:

• Dos marcadores para marcar el centro de la pieza y varios, por
si los necesitas, para facilitarte el trabajo con el tejido de las
repeticiones de los calados (opcional).
• Varios marcadores de candado para ayudarnos a contar las
pasadas (opcional)
• Útiles para bloquear: almohadillas, alfileres, cables…
• Cinta métrica, aguja lanera y tijeras.Tensión:

Construcción:

BOSQUE MEDITERRÁNEO es un chal con tres secciones
claramente diferenciadas con silueta en punta de flecha y
cambio estructural.

En la primera y segunda sección damos forma aumentando al inicio y final de cada lado y haciendo una disminución doble en cada pasada del lado del derecho de la labor. En la sección tres hacemos lo mismo pero le damos esa forma asimétrica aumentando sólo en uno de los extremos y disminuyendo en el otro.

De esta forma conseguimos dar ese interés visual perfecto
para elegir nuestro color favorito y lucirlo con un buen look.
