“Richly patterned colourwork sweaters have a long history in the Nordic countries, and in more recent times cardigans have also been knitted using the same technique,” says Outi Kater. “This Nordic style loose-fitting cardigan is knitted in the round, using steeks at the arm and front openings. The length of the body and sleeves can easily be adjusted by adding or omitting repeats of the seed pattern.”
