Bordeaux Cabled Hat
Description: Bordeaux Cabled Hat features a bold, 18-stitch cable that can be worn toward the side or centered. It can be made with a slight slouch or as a classic, non-slouchy beanie. The design is unisex and makes a perfect stuff-in-your-bag sort of hat, even with the elegant cable. Plus, bulky yarn makes it good gift knitting!
Although there are some decreases while cabling, it is still a good project for someone just learning to cable. Cable instructions are provided both on a chart and as written instructions.
Skill Level: Intermediate. Requires joining to work in the round, simple cabling techniques, decreases while cabling to shape the crown, and decreasing multiple stitches to one.
