Bonnie is a tribute to bomber jackets but with an obvious concern for elegance and chic indolence. This boxy cardigan is perfect in all circumstances, to add coolness to sparkling dresses as well as to do the job of an offbeat spring jacket. Bonnie also knows how to show off the collars of your favorite button-up shirts or blouses.

The cardigan is knitted seamlessly, from the top down. The collar is shaped with short rows and the sweater has some lovely details at bottom hem and cuffs.
It is a easy knit, suitable for beginners with just the right amount of daring.
This knit combines mindless stockinette stitch and some more technical details. Video tutorials are available to illustrate the step-by-step instructions for horizontal braids and binding off the collar stitches.

The cardigan shown is a size 3 worn with 9 3/4 in (24 cm) of positive ease (I wanted mine with a lot of positive ease), but recommended ease is 5-10 inches (12-25 cm).

16 stitches & 24 rows = 10 cm (approx. 4 inches) in Stockinette Stitch with 5 mm (US 8) needle(s), after blocking.

Bonnie est un gilet boxy, un hommage aux bombers mais avec un souci d’interprétation d’élégance et de modernité. Il se porte en toutes circonstances, il est douillet pour l’hiver et il remplit aussi parfaitement son rôle de veste de printemps. Et Bonnie sait aussi très bien mettre en valeur les cols de vos chemises et blouses préférées!
Ce gilet se tricote sans couture de haut en bas. Il allie la simplicité du jersey à quelques détails qui le rendent spécial, comme le col dessiné avec des rangs raccourcis ou les tresses aux poignets et dans le bas du gilet. Tous ces éléments font objet d’explications détaillées, elles-même illustrées par des tutoriels vidéo. Ce tricot est donc accessible aux grands débutants avec juste l’audace qu’il faut !
