Notes:
Amigurumi is stitched in the round (unless it says otherwise).
A yarn with no stretch is best for, I ordinarily use cotton or cotton blend.
For this pattern, I used:
o PURPLE = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in col. 443 Tea Rose
o ORANGE = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in col. 409 Light Caramel
o LILAC = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in col. 442 Dusty Rose
o BLACK = Scheepjes Catona in col. 110 Jet Black
I crochet loosely and use a 2.75mm hook with 8ply yarn. Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
The yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of the finished item. My Bonbon the Bee is approximately 21cm tall (8 inches).
I have embroidered the eyes for this pattern but you may choose to use safety eyes. Please ensure that there are no loose fittings.
