The inspiration for these coasters came to me when I purchased the gorgeous, variegated cotton that I used for the middle. I had great fun mixing and matching up colours and could not resist putting this design together to share with you all! Hopefully, you can have some fun mixing your own colours pallets too!

I have targeted this pattern at an ‘adventurous beginner’ level, as it is mostly using basic stitches, although the edging is slightly trickier, and if you have never attempted anything like this before, I have provided a step-by-step guide to assist.

Materials Required

• 3mm Crochet Hook
• 4ply weight cotton yarn as follows: - Yarn A – A variegated colour – I used Schachenmayr Catania Color in Lollipop Color (00211) Yarn B – Four complementary colours to Yarn A – I used Scheepjes Catona in Jade (514), Sky Blue (510), Colonial Rose (398) and Watermelon (252)
