Bodelwyddan
Bodelwyddan is a top-down sock design in five sizes with a textured pattern on the leg that continues over the top of the foot. Named after the Welsh town, Bodelwyddan’s texture reflects the strong lines of the local architecture.
Bodelwyddan is also where Ysbyty Glan Clwyd (Glan Clwyd Hospital) is based. Throughout October, 50% of sales of Bodelwyddan will be going to Treasure Chest YGC, a charity whose aim is to support and raise funds for patients who have had or are having surgery or treatment for breast cancer in Glan Clwyd Hospital.
Included in the pattern are instructions for how to decrease one or two sizes from the leg to the foot. This is particularly useful if your ankles are larger than your feet!

Notes
- Lengths given in Finished Measurements are for the unstretched finished sock, as worked without any customisation.
- Foot can be 1 or 2 sizes smaller than Leg – see notes in Gusset section. Personally, I knit the leg in the largest size (which fits my 34cm leg) and decrease to the next size down during the gusset (to fit my 24.5cm foot).
- Foot length can be easily customised – see notes in Foot section.
