Bobsled Mittens
Not only are these mittens shaped like bobsleds, you’ll also feel like you are riding the track as you knit your way around the turns.
This pattern doesn’t begin to resemble a mitten until you get quite far along in the knitting, so it requires a measure of knitting faith. It starts with JMCO, is knit entirely in the round using the magic loop method, and requires no seaming or picking up of stitches. The multiple directions of the stitches creates a mitten that hugs your hand for a sporty, comfortable fit. Bobsled mittens can be made for many different-sized hands using one set of instructions in various stitch gauges.
About the book…
Ever wonder if Judy’s Magic Cast-On could be used outside of socks? Judy Becker shows five ways to use JMCO. Twenty-three patterns from twenty-one designers showcase each clearly illustrated technique. Adventurous knitters will find fun projects and a treasure map to explore.
