Needles 
US 8 (5 mm) Boye Straight Knitting Needles
Note: Adjust your needle size as necessary to obtain gauge. You may also use circular needles with a cord length of at least 16” / 40 cm. 

Gauge
Measurements taken before blocking.
Garter Stitch worked flat:
19 sts × 23 rows = 4” x 4” (10 × 10 cm)
