Boadicea Mitts
This design is worked from the top (finger cuff) down. It is worked in the round and features a simple diamond lace chart. I prefer something with a dreamy halo for this design.
Why such a wide size range for such an obviously feminine design? That, my friend, is for trans inclusion. Everyone deserves gorgeous knits that make them feel beautiful. I’m proud to be a trans friendly designer!
Sizes: Extra Small (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large) to fit a hand circumference of 6” (7”, 7.5”, 8.5”, 9.5”)/15 (18, 19, 21.5, 24) cm.
This pattern is designed with a bit of negative ease.
Yarn: 75 - 200 yards/70 - 180 meters DK weight yarn.
Sample shown in Country Dream Acres 2ply Handspun Angora.
Needles: Size US 5/4 mm circular needles with a long (40”/100 cm) cable or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 20 stitches x 20 rows = 4”/10 cm in Stockinette stitch.
Notions: 4 stitch markers, a size US G/4.25 mm crochet hook (optional), blocking mat, wires (optional) and t-pins.
Techniques: Knitting in the round, lace knitting, and basic crochet chain stitch (optional, for edging).
