Bluestocking Stole
by Manda Shah
Not too easy but not too difficult to make, this stole was born out of an idea of using a lace panel and mirroring its halved portion instead of repeating the same panel widthwise. Basic lace stitches combined with nupps provide the shape and a delicate look from start to finish.
Finished Size 13” wide and 76” long, blocked.
Yarn Malabrigo Yarn Lace (100% baby merino wool; 470 yd 430 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #30 purple mystery, 1 skein (see Notes).
Needles Size 5 (3.75 mm): 16” circular (cir). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Tapestry needle.
Gauge 16 sts and 22 rows = 4” in lace patt, blocked.
