Blueridge Shawl
This is a triangle shaped shawl that uses slipped stitches to help break up the pooling that happens when using variegated yarns. It also works well using self-striping or even solid yarns.
The pattern is written for fingering weight yarn, but you can use any weight of yarn and any size needles and make the shawl any size. I include suggested gauges and needle size for both fingering and worsted weight yarns to get you started. You will need approximately 100-150 grams of fingering weight yarn or 300-350 grams of worsted weight yarn for a full size yarn.
After blocking, my shawl measured 22” deep by 60” across.
Many thanks to my testers, tinkershell, rolltide13, wildthing1058, 15FiberFrenzy, valcrafts, KinnicChick, grenru and honeystalks and thank you to rolltide13 for coming up with the great name!
