This easy-wearing bolero features openwork around the perimeter. Worked in chunky yarn, it crochets up quickly, so you can whip it up when the late-spring cold front comes through.
Yarn Patons Shetland Chunky (75% acrylic, 25% wool; 148 yd 135 m/3½ oz 100 g): #78134 new royal, 7 (9, 11) skeins.
Hook U.S. size K/10½ (6.5 mm) crochet hook. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain gauge.
Tools Yarn needle.
Finished measurements 34½ (38, 42)” width and 7 (8½, 10)” wide border to fi t 32–36 (38–42, 44– 52) bust circumference; 15 (16, 17)” center back length without border. Garment shown measures 34½”.
Gauge 1 patt rep (1 puff, 2 V-sts) = 3″ wide and 6½ rows = 4″ tall in body patt.
