Blue song is a small shawl, easy to crochet, adaptable to match any outfit.
With the combination of a classic shell stitch, two different borders and varying colour placement, this
is a recipe that you can vary endlessly to make your own version without resorting to maths.
The pattern includes two versions. Your own imagination will provide dozens of variations, combining
colours and stripes with your preferred border.

Laceweight bambou is easy to work,
slightly lustruous and has beautiful drape. Blocking is optional – ideal for a project that you want to
bring on a trip and wear as soon as you’ve finished it.
In wool and silk, your shawl will be a little more lightweight, more elegant and warmer. The wool and silk
yarn is one of my favourites, and I never tire of working with it.

Size after blocking

• Version 1: 132 cm wide x 66 cm deep (52” x 26”) at the tip
• Version 2: 148 cm wide x 66 cm deep (58” x 26”) at the tip

Yarns used:

• Version 1: Annette Petavy Design laceweight bamboo (currently unavailable): 300m (330yds) per 50-g ball; 3 balls of matching or contrasting colours - a total of 900m/985yds
• Version 2: Annette Petavy Design London, Covent Garden or Beth Chatto; 50% wool / 50% silk - 400m per 50-g ball/skein; 2 balls/skeins of matching or contrasting colours - a total of 800m/875yds

Blue song est un petit châle très facile à réaliser et à assortir à vos tenues.
En combinant un point de coquille très classique, deux bordures différentes et différents agencements
de rayures, vous disposez d’une recette qui offre d’innombrables possibilités pour créer votre version
personnelle sans faire aucun calcul.
Je vous propose deux versions, votre imagination en créera des dizaines d’autres, en combinant les
couleurs et l’agencement des rayures avec la bordure de votre choix.
Le bambou dentelle, très agréable à travailler, offre un joli tomber, une légère brillance, et n’impose pas de blocage : idéal si vous voulez emporter vos pelotes en vacances et porter tout de suite l’ouvrage terminé.
En laine et soie, il sera un peu plus léger, plus précieux et plus chaud. Personnellement, ce fil est l’un de
mes chouchous, et je ne me lasse pas de le travailler.
