This chart is based on the one for the TARDIS Potholder by Shawna Snyder. I altered it so that it wasn’t so tall, so it would fit nicely on a coffee cup.

I used Bernat Satin Solids Loyal Royal and Caron Simply Soft Baby Blue. So while I called for one weight of yarn, even the slight variations between brands mean you’ll probably have to knit the first few rows and check it for fit around the cup of your choice. If you do decide to add stitches (rather than just bump up a needle size), I’d recommend adding in multiples of two at the vertical ribbing (which ends up being a dark column of ribs up the back of the cup).

Incidentally, I loved the tiny sparkles in the Loyal Royal; I thought they really added something, but they didn’t show up in the picture.

Apparently it also makes a good plant cozy!
