Kaffe Fassett writes in his book: Deep blues and greens always give me a lift, and the Islamic pots in turquoise, royal blue and clear grass green at the V&A thrill me to the core. Every time I see them I find them more satisfying.
The Chinese collection at the V&A also has outstanding examples of pure turquoise, as well as other colours, in graceful shapes. All this was a high point indeed from which to start my Blue Patch sweater. I feel that the large plain areas of the patches echo the simple masses of the pots.
