Blue Ivy is a shawl knit from the bottom up starting with lace and then knitting in stockinette stitch using decreases and short rows to create a crescent form that gently rests on your shoulders, perfect for a cool spring day. Knit her in small, medium or large depending on the amount of lace you prefer.

Approximate finished dimensions after washing and blocking:
12“/31 cm deep and 35.5“/90 cm wide, 18”/46 cm x 58”/147 cm, 22.5“/57 cm, 77“/195 cm.

Skill Level: intermediate

Yarn: Small: Approximately 500 yds (460m) of
Fingering Weight yarn, I used Wollmeise 100% Merino Superwash in Kornblume-we’re different.
Medium: Approximately 560 yds (520m).
For the two colored medium shawl: Approximately 440 yds (400m) for the lace section and approximately 130 yds (120m) for the stockinette section shown in Wollmeise Sockenwolle 80/20 Twin in the colorways Wolke WD and Nautilus.
Large: Approximately approximately 860.0 yards (786.4m) fingering weight yarn shown in Three Irish Girls Adorn Sock in the Eavan colorway.

Needles: 32” or longer US 4 /3.50mm Circular
Needles.

Notions: Waste yarn for a lifeline and 9 stitch
markers.

Gauge: 16 sts/4 inches after blocking, although gauge is not important, but your final dimensions and yardage requirements may vary if your gauge is
different.
