“Beginner Blocks” is a prequel to the 2018 Vintage Vixen Crochet-a-long designed to bring novice crocheters up to speed. More experience crocheters can feel free to skip these blocks.

Patterns included for three Beginner Blocks: Single Crochet Block, Half-Double Crochet Block, and Single Crochet Block. Each block requires 70 yds of yarn (50g in recommened HiKoo SimpliWorsted). 210yds will be enough to make all three beginner blocks.

The entire Crochet-a-long requires:
1200g/1680yds Worsted Weight (4) yarn
o 100g/140yds each of twelve colors (two blocks of each color)
o OR 200g/280yds each of six colors (four blocks of each color)
o OR 300g/420yds each of four colors (six blocks of each color)
o OR 400g/560yds each of three colors (eight blocks of each color)
