About
The Bliss Broderie Top is a summer top that is worked top-down. Firstly, a lace panel is worked that is inspired by broderie anglaise fabric. German Short Rows are then added to shape the top for the armholes and the bust. The rest of the top is worked in the round until stitches are bound off for the garter waistband.
The top has 3 options for shaping: straight, straight with a cinched waist or waist shaping. After the garter waistband is worked sideways, each strap is worked flat in garter stitch. Then a crochet scalloped edge can be added to each strap. The straps are sewn down on the back. Finally, buttons are sewn on the faux button band on the front. An optional waist tie is added to cinch the waist further and add a cute touch.
