Understated hearts break up the traditional granny stitch pattern used in this classic triangle shawl. The main body of the shawl works up quickly and easily using the basic granny square stitch, but two rows of inlaid double crochet hearts add a bit of interest.

This pattern calls for just one skein of Caron Cakes yarn, but I would recommend buying two to be on the safe side- I had just enough to finish and make two tassels, and had no scraps left over at all! If you use Red Heart Soft, you’ll need two skeins.
