The yarn does it all in this large, drapey shawl!
A traditional triangle shawl top-down construction is spiced up with bands of moss stitch, overlapping to create a tartan pattern. The generous yardage of the Siidegarte Siide-Fideel makes for a reasonably sized one skein shawl, or a huge two skein shawl (pictured). Any yarn with the same yardage can be used - I would only recommend you use a yarn that produces the same drapey fabric. A yarn with a high content of silk will do the trick!

Needles: 4 mm / US 6 circulars, 80 cm / 32 inches.

Other: Stitch markers – at least 22, of which 2 are different to mark the center of the shawl. A tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge: Not crucial (but gauge might affect required yardage and final size) Sample uses gauge of 18 sts & 26 rows to 10 cm / 4 inches in stockinette stitch after blocking.
