Blatna, our cover sweater, is an hommage to the intricate gates and railings from the Art Nouveau era. The gorgeous design beautifully combines different types of cables and looks just as great over a dress as it would over a pair of jeans.

The drop-shoulder sweater is worked from the bottom up in the round, combining delicate hem cables with stronger body cables leading into an array of stunning diamond cables on the top portion of the body. The back is worked with one of the cable designs interspersed across the body as an accent. The sleeves are picked up from the armholes and knit in the round.

3.75 mm / US 5 circular needle with a cable length of at least 80 cm / 32” (or needle size to obtain gauge)
3.75 mm / US 5 DPNs (or needle size to obtain gauge)
3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle with a cable length of 40 cm / 16”, or DPNs (or needle one size smaller than main needle to obtain gauge)

This pattern uses the magic loop technique. To use double-pointed needles, divide sts between 4 needles and rearrange accordingly.
