Blanerne
The other side of the river from my house is Blanerne. It consists of less than a dozen scattered houses, a castle ruin (that’s being very generous with the description of a few rubble walls), some barns and fields - a favourite for dog walks with the possibilities of hare and deer and the almost certainty of pheasants.
This sweater features ever-changing cables that are interesting to knit and the end result is a stylish but comfy sweater perfect for walks on cooler days. Designed to be worn with up to 5”/12.5 cm posittive ease, pop it on over your shirt as you head out the door.
This pattern contains written instructions except for the cables which are charted only due to their non-repeated nature. Back, front and sleeves are knit flat from the bottom up and seamed. Neckband is picked up and knit in the round.
The sample was knit in a now discontinued aran weight 100% wool. The suggested yarns should be suitable substitutes but swatch - you know you want to!
