Blackwork Bear Claw Afghan
NEW RELEASE: To celebrate the new release of the Blackwork Bear Claw Afghan Set, my 30% off sale has been extended through 1/6/26 MT. No code needed!
Do you love snuggling up in your favorite quilt? This Blackwork Bear Claw Afghan incorporates the look of a traditional quilt with blackwork-style designs creating the fill patterns for the different fabrics. Two border styles, lacy (pictured) or picot, are provided to complete the afghan. A coordinating pillow is included in the pattern set as well.
Since two contrasting colors are used to create the designs on the different “quilt blocks”, a YouTube tutorial is also included to explain changing colors on a diagonal or curve, with a review of changing colors in a straight line.
This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions as well as design charts for reference. Since this project contains many diagonals to create the design, it is recommended for someone who is comfortable with the interlocking filet mesh technique. If you haven’t tried diagonals on an interlocking filet mesh project yet, you can learn how on my YouTube Channel! You can also read about it on my blog!
