Blackberry beret
This hat design is a collaboration between me and Wolfywool, a talented US based hand dyer, owner of WolfyWool Yarn label!
If you like traditional and romantic berets but you easily get bored working in the same direction…let’s try this one!
Blackberry beret has everything you need to keep interest in the project: relaxing Stockinette stitch, changing directions, a bit of cabling (just a bit), amazing shape… You will love working it and even more wearing it!
The work starts from the waving brim which is worked sideways; stitches are then picked up and the body is worked in Stockinette stitch up to the simple sideways cable at the beginning of the crown, which is worked bottom up at the end with decreases creating lovely lines.
