A decorative scarf or shawl pattern with a feathery motif in stranded knitting. The sample swatch was knit on US 4/3.5mm needles with approximately 295yds/270m of Schoppel Wolle Zauberball Crazy yarn, 175yds/160m MC Zimtschnecke and 138yds/126m CC Tapetenwechsel.

Dimensions of swatch (right): approximately 20ins/51cm long by 16ins/41cm wide;
Gauge: approximately 36 stitches and 16 rows = 4ins/10cm in stranded pattern

The collage image shows a project with six repeats of the chart, approximately 58ins/147cm long.
One ball of each colorway will suffice for almost six repeats of the chart - if you are running out of yarn you can start finishing up on any right side row of the chart. Allow two balls of each colorway for a larger project. Alternatively you can supplement two Zauberballs by using a different yarn for the CO, ribbing, garter stitch rows, and BO; or you can splice in different yarns every now and then for extra variety in the stranded colorwork.
I used a relatively dark MC and light CC - many of the Zauberball colorways have greater extremes of dark and light, and will create extra visual interest as they interact with each other.

Techniques include stranded knitting, centered double and quadruple increases, and a two colored double increase.
