Materials
All weights are approximate and will vary depending on the brand of yarn you choose and how tightly you crochet.
For this wreath I used Stylecraft special Aran but any Aran/4 medium weight worsted will work for this pattern.

Aran White (wreath cover and icing) 60g
Aran Aspen (hat) 60g
Aran Parchment for the nose 15g

Balloons- I used 6 colours for mine. You can use as many as you would like, you will just need 22 balloons in total.
Aran in lilac, blue, pink, yellow, orange and green 12g per colour.

Candles- you can choose the colour you prefer.
Lilac- 10g

Small amount of Toy stuffing for your gnomes nose and candles
20cm/8inches polystyrene wreath.
If you struggle to find an 8 inch wreath ring you can use a slightly bigger size.

Hooks required
3.5mm

This pattern uses US terms and is worked in a spiral so using stitch markers is highly recommended 

ch = chain stitch

sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
tr = treble crochet
inc = increase 2 stitches in one stitch

dec = decrease. (crochet 2 stitches together)
FLO = work in the front loop only
BLO = work in the back loop only

The finished Gnome wreath, will measure approximately
20 inches/50cm in height.
9 inches/24cm in width.
This will of course vary with weights of yarn and hook/tension.
I used a 20cm/8.5inches wreath ring but you could use a different sizes.

This pattern is easy to follow but requires basic crochet knowledge.
It is written in US terms but easy to convert to UK.
