Bird Cage Shawl
by Mary E Rose
What if a single decrease could be nearly vertical? What if I moved where the increases for a top-down
shawl were placed? So many of my patterns start with my thinking “What if?” and then playing with charts
and yarn to find the answers.
All year I have been enamored of those fancy bird cage planters that every home improvement store has been trying to sell me, but unfortunately I have a black thumb!
This pattern introduces an almost vertical single decrease, creating cage lines and uses simple lace leaf motifs to create your own un-killable bird cage planter.
Lace pattern is presented in both charts and written line by line instructions, for your preferred method of lace knitting!
