This unisex knit sock pattern got its name from the leaf-like cabled panels at the front and back of the socks and the slender trunk-like ribs up the sides. These socks are knit from the toe up and have a wedge toe and an afterthought heel.

Knitters should be able to read a basic stitch chart.

This pattern is written in needle neutral terms and can be worked on dpns or with the magic loop method on long circular needles.

Required Skills: basic knit and purl stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, basic cables, knitting in the round
