Birch Bark is a large triangle shawl where eyelets gather to play. An entertaining knit from cast-on to bind-off, it’s so satisfying you won’t want to put your needles down.

With modern simplicity, this shawl is a true wardrobe staple and a pattern you’ll return to again and again.

Choose your favourite fingering weight yarn and cast on!

YARN
Four skeins of Blacker Yarns Lyonesse 4-ply (50% wool, 50% linen; 174 m / 190 yds per 50 g). Shown in colour Aquamarine.

Or approximately 643 m / 703 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
