A man’s yoked sweater knitted in the round in baa ram ewe Dovestone DK, sizes XS-2XL.

Inspired by the Bingley Five Rise locks on the Leeds and Liverpool canal which were completed in 1774 and are still an icon of the canals in Yorkshire. The five locks with six pairs of lock gates are represented in a subtle knit and purl pattern on the yoke of the sweater.

Sizes XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL) to fit chest 30-32” (34-36”, 38-30”, 42-44”, 46-48”, 50-52”) with finished chest size 36” (40”, 44”, 48”, 52”, 56”).

Yarn requirements: 5 (6, 6, 7, 8, 9) skeins of Dovestone DK / 1150 (1380, 1380, 1610, 1840, 2070) metres of DK weight yarn.

You will also need 4mm/US 6 circular needle, 80cm/32” long and 4mm/US 6 DPNs (if you do not want to use magic loop for the sleeves and neck), stitch markers and scrap yarn.

Written and charted instructions are provided for the yoke pattern stitch.

The Landmark Collection features seven designs all inspired by Yorkshire landmarks. See the rest of the collection here.
