Finished bust circumference (buttoned): 86 (99, 113, 126, 139, 153) cm / 34 (391⁄4, 46, 50, 551⁄4, 61)” – to be worn with 10-20 cm / 4-8” of positive ease
Model has 86 cm / 34” bust, stands 165 cm / 5’5” tall and is wearing a size 2.
Yarn: Istex Lettlopi (worsted; 100% Icelandic Wool, 100 m / 109 yds per 50 g skein)
Yarn A: Heaven (1702); 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins
Yarn B: Rough Sea (1415); 3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 4) skeins
Yarn C: Ash Grey (0054); 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 8) skeins
Gauge: 18 sts & 22 rows = 10 cm / 4” over stocking stitch pattern on 4.5 mm needles after blocking.
Needles: 4.5 mm / US 7 circular needle, 80 cm / 32” length AND knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
3.75 mm / US 5 circular needle, 80 cm / 32” AND knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 7 buttons, stitch holders or waste yarn, stitch marker, tapestry needle
Notes: The body of Bindrune is worked back and forth in rows from the bottom up. The back and fronts are worked separately from the underarm to the shoulders which are shaped using short rows. The sleeves are worked in the round from the bottom up and seamed to the body.
