Binary Delusion
Human beings have a strong bias for binary thinking, a basic urge to divide things into opposing groups. Good and bad. Heroes and villains. Man and woman. Black and white. This limited thinking can cause problems and excludes the things/beings that don’t fit this binary system. There are infinite colors, not only black and white!
Broaden your perspective, look from different angles and you will sense other things/beings in different forms, sounds, looks, scents, thoughts, feelings…
Binary Delusion is about changing our perspectives; two colors are fused by alternating two rows and two-color Garter ridges giving the illusion that there are skewed squares being looked at from different angles. It reminds us that not everything is the same as we see, as we think, as we’ve been taught.

NOTES
Binary Delusion is a shawl constructed with alternating 2 rows of Garter and Stockinette stitch. It starts from an edge and expands through the middle. There are 6 slices separated by decreases and yarn over increases and 3 Chevron repeats until first bind off edge. Colors of Garter Ridges are alternated in each slice and they changed after 10 Garter Ridge rows / 10 yarn over rows are completed.
Stitches of the first 2 slices (first Chevron) are bound off after 7 repeats of Garter ridge blocks, then the next 2 slices’ (second Chevron) stitches are bound off after 3 repeats of the Ridge blocks. Finally, the last 2 slices (third Chevron) are bound off.
It is trimmed with I-cord edges and bound off with 2-color I-cord bind off technique to have the same look as the edge I-cords, also yarns are being carried to point where they need to be worked.
