Sequence knitting can create familiar textured fabrics or break with traditional patterning and take flight in organic forms. This scarf (or wrap, if you opt for a larger scale) pairs alternating charted motifs to form a patchwork of flowing wavelets and more structured pennants. The reversible fabric is subtly different but equally handsome on both sides. Worsted-spun Arbor renders the stitches in high relief, and simple slipped-stitch edges keep the focus on the novel textures.

Construction

Scarf or wrap is worked flat from end to end.

21 stitches & 40 rows = 4” in textured pattern from Waves Pattern, after blocking
20 stitches & 37 rows = 4” in textured pattern from Blocks Pattern, after blocking

Suggested Size: 4 mm (US 6)
