Big in Japan sweater is the sleeve version of the shirt Big in Japan.
The used combination of ITO Kinu and ITO Sensai is adorable, the sweater fluffy and light like a cloud.

The oversized boxy sweater is started by knitting the back from top down to the base of the armhole. The shoulder part is shaped using short rows. Then, both fronts are knitted separately from the top down to the base of the neckline, working increases for the boat neck at the same time. After joining both fronts and working them down to the base of the armhole, back and fronts are then joined for working in the round straight to the hem.
For the neck finishing, stitches are picked up along the neck, and a small neck band is worked.
For the sleeves, stitches are picked up along the armhole and the sleeves are worked top down to the cuffs.

Der weit geschnittene Pullover wird am Rücken begonnen und von oben nach unten bis unter die Arme gestrickt. Die Schulterpartie wird mit verkürzten Reihen geformt. Danach wird die Vorderseite zunächst in zwei Teilen mit Zunahmen für den Ausschnitt bis zum unteren Ende des Halsausschnitts gearbeitet. Nach dem Zusammenführen beider Teile wird die Vorderseite bis unter die Arme gestrickt und schließlich zusammen mit dem Rücken in Runden bis zum unteren Bündchen gearbeitet. Für das schmale Halsbündchen werden die Maschen am Halsausschnitt aufgenommen und in der Runde abgekettet.
Die Maschen für die Ärmel werden rund um den Armausschnitt aufgenommen und dann nach unten bis zu den Bündchen gestrickt.
