Big Easy
This is not two separate garments: READ ON!
After the BEST-OF-BOTH TUNIC TOP (my first exploration of knitting + fabric), I couldn’t wait to try the combination again. And, for the next one, how about something really easy—to both knit and wear?
So here it is: a big and easy drop shoulder with rectangular fabric pieces that are attached to serve as sleeves and collar. Looks like you are wearing a shirt underneath? But, while I love to wear three pieces instead of two, that pairing I often find uncomfortable and bothersome to coordinate. What you see here is so much simpler: it’s all one piece! Put on a pair of leggings, boots, fingerless gloves, and you’re good to go!
I present one stitch pattern in five sizes plus two gauges. Why two gauges? Because as soon as I made my first one—to a 17-stitch gauge—I wanted another. But the yarn I found for a second version happened to not match the gauge of the first: hence the 15-stitch gauge pattern. Because this pattern was so simple to write, it was simple to add the more-than-one yarn-weight option.
Like everything else I love, I have multiple versions of this very wearable garment!
