This is a pattern for a sitter size photo props headband that has little lace detailing around the band. The lace reminded me of little ferns, so I named this headband “Fern”!

The pattern for the matching romper can be found here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/457621610/pdf-knitting-patte...
The romper is a sleeveless tank top style with shortie style legs. All edges are finished and the back has a button closure at the neck.

This makes a beautiful addition to your baby’s photo session. It also is a great gift for baby showers!

Each of my patterns are written with love and with great attention to detail. If you ever have a question or notice a mistake, please contact me!

Size:
- Sitter

50 yds medium (#4) weight yarn (I Love This Yarn ‘Rosy Cheeks’)

Knitting Needles Size US 7

Gauge: 16 st x 24 rws = 4” in Stockinette

Pattern notes:
This headband matches the Fern Lace Sleeveless Lace Romper. You can find the pattern for the romper here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/lace-sleeveless-r...

The headband is knit from side to side. The first few rows that form one side of the bow are knit in garter stitch (knit every row). Then the “band” portion is knit in the Fern Lace pattern. Lastly, the other side of the bow is knit in garter stitch.
One end is then slipped through the other and then a small piece is knit and sewn in place for the middle “knot” of the bow.
The pattern for the “Fern” lace stitch on the “band” of the headband is written in the body of the pattern.

Care: Machine wash gentle cycle. Tumble dry low.

Pattern is my own design.
