Light and airy, flowing and soft, this simple wrap can be worn as a fairy scarf, or wrapped as a snood. Two designs and two yarn types, each design takes two hanks of yarn. Go for the Double Knitting thickness for a solid wrap or the 4ply version for a lighter more delicate look. They are both made from our MOONSHINE yarns; luxurious alpaca, silk and cashmere - Light Moonshine (dk) or Warm Moonshine (4ply).

I created my design company to challenge the misconception of ‘easy is dull’ – what I create is simple in form, pleasing to knit and a delight to wear. The yarns I sell are luscious and the hand-made original shawl-pins are not only beautiful to look at but are delicate and light so a pleasure to wear. I feel passionate about hand-knitted good design, quality, presented with grace and consideration. Knitting takes time. I honour the skills associated with it and humbly give thanks to our fore-mothers and fathers that have given us so many techniques and knowledge to take this great craft forward.

2 versions - 2 different yarns

YOU WILL NEED
2 x 100g LIGHT MOONSHINE, 225m/100g (70% alpaca, 20% silk and 10% cashmere), 5mm and 6mm needles (for cast-on/off)
OR
2 x 100g WARM MOONSHINE, 400m/100g (content as above), 4mm and 5mm needles (for cast-on/off)

Light Moonshine: width 40cm, length 185cm
Warm Moonshine: width 55cm, length 202cm

GAUGE
LM: 18sts to 10cm in stocking st using 5mm needles
WM: 20sts to 10cm in stocking st using 4mm needles

ABBREVIATIONS
k: knit | p: purl | R: Row | st(s): stitch(es)
RS/WS: right side facing/wrong side facing
yo: yarn over, starting at front of work pass yarn over needle to back. If st before the yo was a knit st, first bring yarn to front underneath needle. When you reach this yo on the next round k it as directed. This should create a hole.
double yo: wrap yarn around needle twice to create large hole, on the next row k into first loop and let 2nd loop drop
k2tog: k 2 sts together as one
sl: slip a st from left-hand needle to right-hand needle without working
psso: pass slipped st over st just worked
MB: make a 5sts bobble
R1 RS: (k1, p1, k1, p1, k1 into one st), turn
R2 WS, R3 RS and R4 WS: k5, turn
R5 RS: k2tog, k1, k2tog, turn
R6 WS: k3tog, turn
R7 RS: k1 and continue working
