The Betangled Hat is a garter-stitch hat with a ribbed brim. On one side of the hat, the ribbing flows smoothly into a dramatic cabled twist flanked by two smaller twists. The cables gradually decrease in size as they approach the crown of the hat, while the garter-stitch section of the hat decreases smoothly in concentric rings.

The hat can be worn as a slouchy hat, with the ribbing down, or as a cap, with the ribbing folded up to form a brim. Pom poms are optional!

Step-by-step instructions for an optional Tubular Cast-On are included.

If you’d like a cowl to match, see the Betangled Cowl here!
And the Betangled Shawlette is available here!

Please note: instructions for the cabled section are provided in chart form only.
