Bess Shrug
by Sue Gleave
A lovely floaty shrug, knitted in mohair and silk lace, great over dresses or jeans.
The pattern used for the back of the shrug has a bit of history; it’s called Mrs Montague’s pattern and Queen Elizabeth I had her stockings made in this lace!
The pattern is given as a written pattern and as a chart. The shrug is knitted sideways and the sleeve seams are sewn together. The finished shrug measures 120 cm from the cuff to cuff and is 60 cm deep at the back.
You need
2 x 25g skeins of Native Yarns Kersey Kid Mohair and Silk Lace yarn
