EN: The inspiration for this crochet design comes from mountains. The name Bergluft is German and means mountains air. Hiking, camping or skiing no matter what your activity in the mountains is, it is always a special experience. The air in the mountains is very special to me as well. It is fresh, clear and in spring/summer full of wild plants smelling. I love to spend my holidays in the european Alps. To have a warm shawl around the shoulders is always a must. Even in summer the temperature can be very low especially in the mornings. I would take the shawl on a walk in the woods or to enjoy my morning coffee while watching the Alps from a valley and planing the day. I wanted to create a big and cozy shawl from rustic woolly wool for this idea.

Besides knitting I love to have a crochet project from time to time. For a long time I wanted to create a crochet shawl. The idea and inspiration from above matches crochet stitch pattern perfectly and I decided to create a crochet shawl this time. It is the very fist crochet shawl for eviknitwear.

DE: Die Inspiration für das Häkeltuch kommt, wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, von den Bergen. Ob Wandern, Zelten oder Ski fahren, die Erlebnisse in den Bergen sind immer besonders. Genau so besonders finde ich auch die Bergluft. Sie ist klar, frisch und duftet im Sommer nach wilden Pflanzen. Die Alpen im Sommer ist meine schönste Erinnerung an einen Urlaub in den Bergen. Ein warmes Tuch um die Schultern legen (auch im Sommer unverzichtbar) und morgens einen kleinen Spaziergang machen oder mit dem Frühstückskaffee die Berge aus dem Tal bestaunen. Das Tuch sollte groß, kuschelig und aus einem rustikalen Garn sein.

Weil ich neben dem Stricken auch sehr gerne ab und an etwas häkle, wollte ich schon lange ein Häkeldesign entwerfen. Für die Idee von dem Berluft Tuch fand ich die Häkelstäbchen perfekt und es entstand somit das aller erste Häkeltuch für eviknitwear.
