Bento is a sampler pack of stitches… which add up to one delicious shawl! Featuring 4 wedges for a fabulously wearable shape, and beads on outer wedges, for a bit of bling that isn’t too heavy. Perfect for a knitter looking to dabble in color, explore new stitch patterns and relax into their knitting.

Bento uses 4 stitches: Stockinette, Garter, a simple ribbing and a simple lace pattern with the option of adding beads. This would make a perfect first shawl for the advanced beginner. Techniques used:

  • knit
  • purl
  • yarn over
  • increase
  • decrease
  • place bead (pre-strung, optional)

This shawl uses 4 skeins of Louet Gems, 1 skein each of two colors and 2 skeins of a third. Almost any worsted weight yarn can easily be substituted and I encourage you to try amazing color combinations!

To add beads, you will need: 90g Miyuki size 6 beads (360 beads/30g) in silverlined crystal
